The Taper Mount PLAN-A™ L adapter provides a Griffin Taper Mount interface for Griffin EXPLORR® Utility Mount suppressors, Silencerco® Hybrid™, OMEGA™, and Harvester 338™ as well as DEAD AIR ARMAMENT™ NOMAD™, and many other suppressors featuring the 1.375 X 24 threaded Universal mount interface.

The attractive design patent pending cosmetic geometry affords a grip, allowing the end users to reduce the likelihood of the mount breaking loose when removing the suppressor from the muzzle adapter. Six pin spanner slots are provided, permitting compatibility with OMEGA™ wrenches as well as our Bushwhacker™ wrench. The light ~1.95 ounce weight allows end users access to these features in an attractive design, with minimal weight added.

Machined in our Watertown headquarters from billet 17-4 stainless steel, this adapter provides a precision made interface that gives you access to nationally recognized Griffin Taper Mounts and accessories. Precision, durability, and value are at the core of Griffin product design and manufacturing. This product allows you to affordable kit up with the best suppressor mount muzzle devices in the industry.

The exposed length or length added of the L model Plan-A™ when installed is .730". This allows for a wide range of taper mount accessories to be fitted to the suppressors, even in suppressors where the distance to the blast baffle is shorter than most.

Excellent fit and finish. Works perfectly. Standard Griffin product. The only issue I have is I keep checking my mailbox and they didn’t send me another one for free and with no apparent reason.

Had to use the 2.2” flash hider on pin&weld build and suppresser needed more clearance. The rapid indexing on griffins newer taper mounts make these my favorite qd system. Also aesthetics on this xl mount is awesome.

This is the best of the best when considering Plan A taper mount adapters. If you're looking for an adapter for a 1.375x24 tube...that gives just a bit more blast chamber... look no further! Love the fact that this thing works with my Bushwacker, as well as my Form 1's. The external machining provides the grip necessary to remove the suppressor in one piece, without the need for a wrench. It's an absolute dream! Another big win for Griffin!

Modular Problems Solves

I have a modular suppressor; CGS Helios QD. I love the suppressor but have several guns I use it on. It works great as a direct thread but I wanted something quicker to attach and detach it but not have to use the adapter for .30 threads which would require tools.

I used the Plan B XL with a minimalist FH. I loved the seal - you can see on the FH above the threads with carbon heat deposit and nothing below. So I knew Griffin made good stuff. The problem is I had to use the can’s included stand-off adapter ring so the FH didn’t hit the first baffle before the threads bottomed out this added 1” OAL to my can.

This thing is perfect. I can use all my minimalist FHs and can go back to a 6.75” can instead of almost 9” and the extra weight. The threads are centered in the collar so this adds no OAL to my can because it recesses so low onto the FH. I love this thing so much that I’m putting Minimalist FHs on all the barrels I can and using exclusively Griffin muzzle devices and adapters.

I have used other manufacturer’s mounting systems. They have, for my purposes, always added too much length, weight, complication or a combination of all these. This Plan A Long has solved all these problems. The taper mount truly is easy on and off and you can’t cross-thread it. This device has now made switching from gun to gun faster, simpler and tool-free. It is the epitome of K.I.S.S.
