Perfect snug fit for my Optimus suppressor. I have this flash suppressor on an AKM, SKS, and AR10. Having a multi-caliber it nice to have one base on each platform so I can leave the wrenches at home.
Griffin Taper Mounts interface with RECCE, Paladin®, EXPLORR®, Sportsman, and Bushwhacker® series silencers, as well as all pistol silencers (Revolution and Resistance series) when using the minimalist blast shield.. The Minimalist series supports the Optimus® 9 Mid-Size configuration as well as Optimus micro with taper extension.
Constructed of 17-4 PH stainless steel, the Taper Mount Minimalist flash suppressor has 3 flash suppressing tines which have anti-reasonance features integrated. The Minimialist flash suppressor weighs 2.9 ounces , approximately 40% less than that of most competing flash suppressor mounts. The lighter weight reduces suppressor system weight while making the host firearm barrel lighter and more responsive to the shooter. The flash suppressor does not require timing. Taper Mount Thread Protector is compatible with this muzzle device for added protection of thread mounts.

Larger than I initially thought however is VERY well built. You can feel the quality and see it as well. Let it be known you do not need shims for this as it does not need to be timed. Used this for a Form 1 with Griffin adapter. Works like a dream. Will be using Griffin adapters for just about everything after my experience with these adapters. BUY WITH CONFIDENCE!
The taper mount is the best way to qd in my opinion, and this one mounted up perfectly for me.

Great quality as usual, works great, I use this one on a CZ Scorpion and occasionally to mount my Optimus suppressor and everything works at It should. Nice little bonus about the stealth is no need to time, just torque it down properly and good to go. Looks great too.
I am not a fan of muzzle breaks at all. I have a Recce 5 and it comes with a Minimalist break. That was never a problem cause I always kept the can on that rifle. Once I purchased another rifle that I run suppressed 20% of the time I decided to put the Recce on it...because it sounds so freaking good! I digress. Not only does this thing look sexy on a rifle, but for as short as it is suppresses the flash on a 14.5" barrel. Plus you don't get that annoying twang like you do on other flash hiders.
I already had the Taper Mount Minimalist Brake, so I knew the quality was there. I have to say that I'm very pleased with the fit and finish of my latest GA acquisition . I look forward to future purchases.
I love the taper mount muzzle devices from this company. Great design for mounting a suppressor, very well thought out, and very well executed. The finish quality is superb, and though this minimalist design does exhibit more flash than the original, longer flash hider (please bring that design back, Griffin!), it does a good job cutting most of it. The only thing I'd change is resume including the thread protector with each device again.
I have two of these now, one in 1/2 and one in 14mm, and both work quite well, and are made precisely as expected.
