This ST-3® family Thread Sealant is a liquid applicant that once applied and allowed to dry, provides a elastic gasket around the threaded component, allowing threads to stay tight during severe vibration. The product not only provides a 2000 psi sealant gasket, but components can be taken apart and re assembled several times with a single application meaning it does not need to be cleaned off and re-applied after every use.

To use simply apply a thin film with a Q tip or similar applicator. Allow to air dry for a minimum of an hour. Thread product together and enjoy. After multiple assembly reassembly of the threaded component you will at some point need to brush the thread clean and reapply the process. This half ounce container contains ~50 applications of product.

Examples of application for Griffin products:

All pistol silencer end caps
Pistol booster housing outside threads only
Revolution booster outside extension threads
Sportsman end caps
Loosly threaded pistol barrel threads.

Do not use on pistol piston retainers or 3 lug rear caps. We recommend Horse Jipe™ 2300° for those applications.

    This stuff works great.

You it a bit on the pricey side. But it works great. I used this to secure the 3 lug to my CZ scorpion. It really locked it down. A little bit goes along way.

It works great at keeping carbon out of the threads and allows disassembly.

    Good Stuff

The only improvement would be to offer this in a 3 to 5-oz squeeze tube with pointy tip.

    The right stuff!

With the entire internet giving their opinion on the best lives and thread sealants, it’s a relief to not only find the manufacturer’s suggestion as to the best product, but also provide consumer friendly portions of normally industrial sized of those products!!!

    ST-3A Thread Sealant

This is hands down the best anti-walk remedy for pistol silencers there is. It is the only thing that actually worked for me to prevent walking enough I could get through a whole mag repeatedly. It acts kind of like teflon tape in practice but way better. With teflon tape I would still get the can to walk after only 3-4 shots. With this, I routinely get through my entire magazine with no or minimal walk. Enough I consider the issue resolved - can't recommend highly enough!

    It works!

Excellent product and easy to use. It works best for modular suppressors that breaks into two as well as end caps. No more baffle strikes! If you are reading this, don’t hesitate get it! Don’t wait like I did. This stuff really works!

Appears to be just what I needed for my barrel/mini comp combo. Haven’t shot it yet but I suspect it’s going to hold up. The little jar has ALOT of applications in it so if I have to reapply a few times a year is no big deal.

Good for hard to clean areas

    Published by R Y on 16th Feb 2021

Good for areas where you want to eliminate loosening but threadlocker is not appropriate. I've taken to using it on threaded areas where there's a portion of exposed threading subject to carbon and lead deposits. As an example, there are variations in the length of threads on barrels such as found on a 22 pistol, 22/223 rifle, and some silencers like the Silencerco Sparrow. A very light application of this goop in those areas helps keep fouling out of the 1/2x28 threads and away from the o-rings, which are often hard to reach with a pick or brush. Anything you can do to reduce the painstaking and tiresome cleaning required for dirty calibers like 22LR is a good thing.
