Fits Perfect
Screws right on and seems very well machined.
Griffin Armament Thread Protector for Taper Mount muzzle devices only. Not for use with M4SD or 30SD (SDQD Muzzle Devices) These are not required for operation, but some consider them nice to have. Suppressor mounts included with suppressors do not include thread protectors.
Thread protector has taper mount interface and does not shoot loose.

Got a few of these to go with a break and a Plan A I am putting on an Omega 9K. I also Got an Explorr 30 in jail for a blackout rifle (and probably some hunting use). I really like the system. Additionally, the Taper Mount EZ Brake and the Plan-A are solid! Great finish machining (and the EZ Brake looks sick on my WC AR9G!!). The thread protector lost a bit of its coating, the finish appears to be different from the mount and Plan A. Chipping is on the threads so its not visible. I tend to go hard on gear so its NBD. I would recommend this system and the thread protectors.
There's not much to say about this. It covers the threads and taper on your taper mount when there is no other device attached to them. Works as intended and has a clean look. Knurled texture makes putting it on and taking it off easy.
It's a good product, finish and quality control are both good, but it's a bit pricey for just a thread protector. Still, it's worth not having to worry about damaging your threads. If you've pinned and welded your muzzle device, it will also cover up the weld if you dont like looking at it.
Great looking piece the usual griffin armament quality
The threads of Griffin muzzle mounts are precise and sturdy. While in the beginning I used these mounts without any protection, I believed it best if I had the security and preservation of the thread protectors. These thread protectors are well made and finished professionally. The knurled edges give the assembly a more complete appearance when installed.
I have a Recce 5 with the Minimalist break on one rifle and a Minimalist Stealth Flash hider on another. The break came with the Recce. I put it on a rifle that I use for critter control, so it doesn't see a lot of abuse. BUT I got a new rifle and decided it too was getting the Recce 5 as well so I purchased the Stealth. I signed up for Valor Ridge 4 day small arms course and John Lovell rifle 1 and rifle 2. That is where this thread protector came into play. I can't say for sure that I absolutely needed it, but sure glad (peace of mind) I did!
I have a few of these now and they are always a good addition to a new muzzle device to protect your can threads. Knurling is made nice and pronounced so you can easily remove or tighten down.
A great product to protect the threads of the muzzle break.
Griffin armament just makes quality: plain and simply...Nuff Said!
