Griffin Armament Thread Protector for Taper Mount muzzle devices only. Not for use with M4SD or 30SD (SDQD Muzzle Devices) These are not required for operation, but some consider them nice to have. Suppressor mounts included with suppressors do not include thread protectors.
Thread protector has taper mount interface and does not shoot loose.

Nice finish, fits perfectly. A little on the spendy side for what it is. Nothing super exciting, it does exactly what it needs to do.
As always with Griffin, the quality is excellent. My only ding is that this tread protector should have been included with the taper-mount muzzle device and not have to be purchased as a separate item.
Looks funky but works great. Kinda pricey for what it is. Make sure you check for looseness after firing.
Fits perfect. I’ll admit it isn’t as sexy as a bare muzzle device but sure is cheap insurance against a dinged thread. Will buy one for each upper I build.
I installed one of these over every 2 port Griffin break I have. The fit and finish on them is top notch. Not to mention this is low cost protection for not damaging the outer threads on your break or muzzle device.
Perfect fit. Extremely lightweight, but strong enough to protect threads.
