The Sportsman Ultra Light .338 caliber is a user serviceable silencer with full size performance and is magnum rated but weighs a flyweight 12.7 ounces. At half of the cost of heavier weight titanium silencers the Sportsman Ultra Light is hard to beat. Billet machined entirely out of heat treated 7075 aluminum, the Sportsman Ultra Light is light enough to pack in the field all week long but durable enough to take a beating from the .338 Lapua Magnum. Taking advantage of low mass properties of 7075 we were able to make a suppressor with durability typical of titanium silencers with an incredible weight savings utilizing a hybrid baffle stack.

The hybrid baffle stack consists two 17-4 stainless heat treated blast baffles followed by 7075 anodized aluminum baffles to keep the silencer lightweight and durable. The Ultra Light series now features our patented H.E.D.P. baffles that offer high performance sound reduction. Along with the new high performance baffles, the baffle stack also featured our RTZ (return to zero) geometry that allows the user to easily align and lock in their baffle stack to keep a repeatable zero even after disassembly of the silencer.

The Ultra Light series features internal 17-4 Stainless Steel mounting to our taper mount system that gives the user a rigid, easy and repeatable method of attachment while offering the user their preferred choice in muzzle devices. Included with the series is a muzzle device that offers a compact and lightweight silencer attachment, however, direct thread adapters are available for users who want to run in a direct thread configuration.

    Buyers remorse turned into love

    After purchasing and starting the wait I was starting to regret selecting this suppressor. I had went shooting with a buddy that had a different brand for his Lapua and given the size differences I felt this wasn't going to live up to my hopes. As soon as I got my hands on this I tried it out and was beyond impressed. First shot was in the pasture and I was actually somewhat impressed so I took it to my loading lot where there were buildings and trailers to reflect the sound and wow! The reduction is wonderful. This is my go to suppressor for anything hunting related. Definitely recommend.

    I have shot over 100 rounds through this can on my .338LM. The sound reduction is dramatic to say the least. My buddy running his gun with just a brake makes you not want to pull the trigger multiple times on the gun due to the blast and the sound. The 338 can changes everything, suddenly a larger round is comfortable to shoot and the only downside is you will spend considerably more on ammo. I zeroed my rifle with the can on it and am shooting .5MOA groups consistently with it. I would highly recommend, besides my rimfire cans this is certainly my favorite.

    I have had this suppressor for a while now. I run it on my 338 Lapua, My 300 win mag, A 308 and a 300 Blk. It has exceeded all of my expectations and My bolt action 300 Black is the quietest rifle i have.
